Jean Erick Jules

Author • Vocal Artist • Master of Ceremonies • Creative Entrepreneur

Haitian-Canadian author, vocal artist, master of ceremonies, and creative entrepreneur Jean Erick Jules builds bridges between literature, music, culture, and innovation to pass on a living legacy to today's and future generations.

Born in Haiti and now based in Canada, he has developed a creative universe where storytelling, music, culture, and contemporary creativity come together to preserve memory, inspire imagination, and strengthen a sense of belonging.

A devoted husband and father of four, he also draws inspiration from family life, believing that the stories, values, and traditions passed down within the home help shape future generations. This personal dimension deeply influences his vision of cultural transmission and legacy.

Driven by a profound passion for celebrating Haitian heritage, he dedicates his work to creating projects and artistic works that honor the roots, traditions, stories, and symbols that shape a people's identity.

His journey is expressed through several complementary identities, each representing a different facet of the same mission.

Under the name J. E. Jules, he works as an author and storyteller. He creates novels, children's books, and reflective works that highlight the history, traditions, values, and cultural richness of the Haitian people. His writing explores themes such as collective memory, family legacy, identity, resilience, imagination, and the transformative power of stories.

Among his works are The Nameless Child, an inspirational tale centered on the search for identity and self-discovery, and The Rediscovered Joumou Soup, a story inspired by one of the most powerful symbols of Haitian history and freedom. Through his books, he seeks to offer children, families, and readers of all ages stories that inspire, unite, and encourage the transmission of a living cultural heritage.

Under the name Mr. Rich, Jean Erick Jules expresses his musical dimension. A singer for many years, he has performed with several vocal ensembles within the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he developed a passion for vocal harmony, gospel music, a cappella performance, and uplifting musical expression. Today, he continues this artistic journey as a member of DEEP VOCAL BAND (DVB), a vocal ensemble inspired by the great traditions of harmonic gospel, contemporary a cappella, and classical vocal music.

Over the years, he has also served as an emcee and master of ceremonies for concerts, cultural programs, community events, and public gatherings. Known for his ability to connect with audiences and create a warm, engaging atmosphere, he brings his voice, energy, and storytelling skills to every event he hosts.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Jean Erick Jules develops entrepreneurial initiatives related to publishing, culture, technology, and creative innovation. He designs book collections, brands, digital platforms, game concepts, and creative experiences aimed at encouraging discovery, cultural expression, and the sharing of ideas.

His work is distinguished by a commitment to transforming cultural creations into tools for transmission. To him, a book is more than something to read, a song is more than something to hear, and an event is more than something to attend. They are vehicles for preserving memory, passing on values, nurturing imagination, and building lasting bridges between the past, present, and future.

Through his books, music, public speaking, and creative projects, Jean Erick Jules pursues a clear vision: to contribute to the emergence of a modern, accessible, inspiring, and enduring Haitian culture capable of reaching far beyond borders and touching present and future generations, both in Haiti and throughout the global Haitian diaspora.

Whether creating under his own name, the literary signature J. E. Jules, or the artistic identity Mr. Rich, his mission remains the same: to preserve what deserves to be passed on, celebrate what deserves to be known, and inspire what deserves to be built.

Because a people who forget their stories risk forgetting their light, but a people who pass them on illuminate the generations that follow.
